Toronto CREW Presents Bonnie Brooks : 2011-03-17

Recently, the Toronto chapter of CREW - Commercial Real Estate Women - selected TMo and Magnacom to provide services to support a member business lunch at the Arcadian Court atop the Bay's downtown flagship store. The event featured a keynote by Bonnie Brooks, President and CEO of The Bay, Canada's oldest company. Ms. Brooks spoke about and showcased efforts by the fashion oriented department store chain to remake itself in the face of global competition and changing consumer behavior.

This was of interest to the 200 plus members of Toronto CREW who attended, since the department store segment is vital to the commercial real estate sector.

CREW is dedicated to influencing the success of the commercial real estate industry by advancing the achievements of women. The organization has more than 8000 members in North America, and through its foundation, awards about $100,000 annually to scholarships in support of young women looking to enter real estate.

TMo, with technology and logistics support from Magnacom, assisted CREW at the luncheon in several ways. A CREW sponsor roll was prepared by the client and then was adapted by Magnacom to play correctly on HDTV displays. Sponsors, including some of the biggest names in Canadian commercial real estate, remarked later that their logos "never looked so good".

Also part of the TMo service arrangement was pre-production support, including preparation of a scale venue set-up drawing. On site services included full HD projection on two screens, LCD fill-in screens, professional PA with wireless Q+A microphones, low energy LED background lighting - all run from a compact control table. Planning, set-up, operation, and trucking were all handled in house by Magnacom staff and associates including Matt Falkenham, Megan Butchard, Scott Griffin, Evan Maire and Roy Passer.

Toronto CREW's Brigitte Beck of Glenview Realty served as volunteer organizer of all presentation support requirements and guided TMo/Magnacom services.

The Bay launched a new Material Girl fashion line and went live with marketing as CEO Bonnie Brooks made the announcement at the Toronto CREW luncheon.

TMo Completes Full HD Project in Phoenix : 2011-02-14

The Team Manage organization and Magnacom have successfully completed our first all HD conference support project in Phoenix Arizona.

Using almost every piece of new Full HD equipment in the Magnacom inventory, TMo colleagues Donna Mclaurin and Susan Rutherford, along with the Magnacom technical and creative team, worked together to produce an annual sales leadership conference for a multi-national client. The event took place at the beautiful Phoenician Hotel and Resort.

Components of the conference included panel discussions with senior executives, an issues roundtable, support staff presentations, and a gala awards show where top producers were recognized.
Donna, as show director, ensured all elements of the conference sessions ran smoothly by managing graphics, video rolls, lighting, and sound. Susan supported the logistics of the conference and assisted Donna and Magnacom with production.

Magnacom presented its very first Full HD closing video, produced entirely onsite and shown using Full HD projection. The client was particularly impressed with picture resolution and brightness on the two large screens, for both the business sessions and the awards show. Lighting and sound reinforcement equipment were hired locally from AV Concepts.

Magnacom also provided transportation services, hauling specialized materiel under Carnet bond from Orillia Ontario and Valdosta Georgia to Phoenix and back.

TMo goes Hollywood : 2010-09-20

The Territories room at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto was abuzz with excitement as the Team Manage organization, executed a Film Festival themed cocktail reception for top performers from a major Canadian company.

As the attendees approached the room they were greeted by mock security guards, and had to be “on the list” to gain access to the exciting event within. As the security guards opened the doors, the attendees stepped onto a full red carpet and were greeted by camera flashes from paparazzi and press waiting for them on the other side of velvet rope. After being interviewed on the red carpet about what top designer they were wearing, they then proceeded to enjoy the evening. Classic movies were playing on large flat screen TVs around the room.

Magnacom also prepared an interview set complete with two cameras, recording and live switching. Attendees were asked about the accomplishments that qualified them for this event.

The room decor included Hollywood themed centerpieces and LED effect lighting. The television cameras and control equipment were lit theatrically and were part of the show. As well as enjoying this reception, attendees were further recognized with a trip to a Toronto International Film Festival (tiff) movie screening.

Magnacom and the Team Manage organization specialize in recognition events with a strong business focus and visual appeal.
